Rescued by Doggie Bonez Rescue

Everyone of our pups has a story behind them. This little guy’s story is sad because it is so unnecessary. Benny is a 13-year-old Lhasa Apso. He has not been neutered. He has a fawn colored coat with medium length hair. He weighs approximately 10-12 pounds. He is a love, loves to snuggle, is obedient, knows some commands and likes to play outside and go for walks and even to the dog park. I am not so sure about that unless you take him to the small dog section. He is 13 and small. So his trusted family is surrendering him because they say he is urinating in the house. They did not distinguish this from being incontinent where he has loss of his bladder. He is not incontinent, so our suspicion is that they did not take him out enough. This is a family who stuck him in a boarding facility for a week to see if someone would adopt him. If no one wanted to adopt him they were literally on their way to pick him up and bring him to Mexico. They were either going to dump him on the street or have him euthanized. Either scenario is heartbreaking. Luckily one of the employees at the boarding facility fell in love with him and decided to foster him. She contacted us to find a loving home for him and that is exactly what we are going to do. Also, our vet, Dr. Fluent at Ortega Animal Care Center, who takes care of the majority our pups, will give a complimentary exam and do blood work once he is adopted. Let us know if you would like to meet this darling pup and save a senior’s life.

I'd like to know more about Benny!
