MIA JEAN ‚Äč *Please complete an application for Mia Jean if interested. Try to refrain from calling to see if Mia Jean is "still available". Instead, check out our website and it is updated daily. If it says "Pending" under his thumbprint photo, then someone has been chosen but it has not gone through the complete adoption process. (so, you can still apply as there is always that chance that it may not happen). Mia Jean was "supposedly" a stray in a park, with another dog that we have since named Gerald. We picked up the dogs at a home of a person that claims he found them in a park, and they needed to be gone with in a few hours. Mia Jean had a very knotted up fur coat, and she was taken in to get her beauty parlor treatment soon after that. She is unsure of you at 1st, but makes up well and then she is your best friend. Mia is approx 15 lbs. We are guessing her age to be at 2-3 yrs old. (Going to the vet on 6/4/19, and we will have a better "professional" idea then). Mia needs a nice intro to other dogs and then she's fine with them. We are unsure about cats because there are non around in the fosters home. She as been around children 11-12 yrs old, and she took a day to warm up with them, and then she was fine. Loud noises in the home used to startle her, but she is fine with them now. (Best if with adults only because we think that is what she is used to). She loves her foster (Male) and it didn't take long for her to bond with him. She is potty-trained and did it very easily. She stands by the door when she needs out. (No doggy door avail. to know if that is something she is trained with too.) Mia Jean is house trained and usually goes in with no issues, She prefers to hang out with her people. Loud noises in the home used to startle her, but she is fine with them now. She is doing much better going for walks but still uncertain. (She will cut across and or stop directly in front of your feet). Squeaky toys & balls are something she enjoys playing with, and an occasional sandal/shoe if it's laying around. (So far she hasn't chewed any up). Even though Mia is a bigger girl, she really likes to cuddle on the couch, sit on your lap, or at least touching you at ALL times.. She is a licker and LOVES any attention you give her. Her favorite thing to do is "be with her human". Our happy home for Mia would be a place that has no other dogs, so she can have ALL the attention...and no small children, just because of her uncertainty. We have seen zero aggression from her, but she can get pretty upset when approached by a stranger or a unfamiliar dog. Mia Jean will be current on all her immunizations shots, Rabies shot, micro-chipped and will be spay on 6/4/19. Mia Jeans adoption fee is set at $250.00 If you are interested in Mia Jean, PLEASE complete a application. Most everything we know about our dogs is in the bio..so please read it so you know what the dog is like and if it will fit your life style. Once an application is received, it will go in that dogs file for review. IF you are chosen for Mia Jean, you will get a call for her and will have 3 hours to respond (if we get your answering machine) before we go to the next person of interest. *The ONLY way to be considered is with an application which is on our website: www.wowdogrescue.org Click on the picture and scroll all the way to the bottom of the following page.
